Islamic Authority Clarifies Authentic from False Exorcism – Demon World

Imam Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips world renown scholar graduate of Medina University  did his PhD thesis in Scotland at the University of Edinburg (Exorcism – differentiating the authentic from the inauthentic). In 1991

Below is a transcript of a lecture uploaded to the Imam’s YouTube channel January of 2014 View Clip

The world of the ginn is not like the world of the unseen in the rest of the universe.  But the world of the ginn collides with our world at different points in time through different individuals. This has direct relevance to our world.

Now the term ginn comes from the verb (jahannah) which means to cover or to hide or to conceal. And it’s refers to creatures who Allah created besides human beings who also have a free will but who dwell in a world which for the most part invisible to us.

They represent a parallel world to our world. Now how that parallel world exists next too ours?  Some people when they hear that… How that parallel world exists with ours it’s not part of our knowledge. It is not possible to know about it. Neither do the ginn know nor do we know.

And basically, the ginn in terms of their modes of existence are of three types… One type which flies in the air all the time, another type which exists as snakes and dogs. And an earthbound type which resides in one place or wonders about. These are the three forms in which the ginn that exist in the world. With regards to their faith they are divided into two categories, believers and disbelievers, just like human beings. And you’ll find among them those who followed Jesus and those who followed Paul or similar ideas of corruption.

Fortune telling remains an attractive world because you have some fortune tellers who give information which turns out to be accurate. They tell you such and such is going to happen and it happened. So, without that of course nobody would bother to go to fortune tellers. Some of the things they inform us of do take place. So, where did they get this knowledge from? Well the Prophet PBUH explained concerning the ginn that he spoke about. The first type that they are aerial, that can leave our atmosphere into the higher, outer reaches of the universe able to travel at speeds, Allah knows best. And they connect up with other ginn who hover near the first heaven. And when Allah gives commands to the angels, and these commands are passed down through the heavens they are able to hear bits and pieces of information. And they relay this information down. In the process of relaying that information comets and meteorites etc. catch some of them and destroy them. But some information works its way down till it reaches that witch or Warlock, fortune teller.

The other area that our world collides with the world of the ginn is the area of magic. Some people think it’s not real. It’s all fake. tricks… In the midst of it all there are some people involved in real magic. And those people who are involved in real magic are not people who have powers that we don’t have… But it is that they have made contact with the world of the ginn and the ginn operate in collaboration with them. They ask you to do certain acts of shirk and you want what appears to be the power. You do it and they will do it for you. So if you see someone come into the room hold his hand and the water bottle comes into his hand. There are people that can do that. It appears to you that he has some kind of power where he can cause that bottle of water to get up off the table and come into his hand. But the reality is that it is a simple act for the ginn. You can’t see the ginn. He lifts up the bottle and puts it in the guy’s hand.

And we have the third major area after fortune telling and magic. The area of demonic possession where the ginn may enter the body of a human being. Some people say no it’s not possible. It’s not real. It’s fake. Reality is that evidence from the Quran and the sunnah indicate that it is a reality. It is authentically narrated… The prophet opened the boy’s mouth and he said ‘O! Enemy of Allah, I am the Messenger of Allah get out.’ Who is he talking to? It’s a little boy. He is obviously addressing an entity that has entered that boy.

Canadian Imam: Western Music is the Call of Satan – Destroying Instruments is Encouraged

It has been reported that Islamic groups will at times forbid the population from listening to music. They will also destroy musical instruments. Many ask if these actions represent the the TRUE Islam. We first learn from a lecture given by Imam Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips that was uploaded in September 2011.

Music as we know it today, produced by wind and stringed instruments, is haram (forbidden). When we look at the tradition of the early scholars of Islam they made all kinds of statements against it. Some scholars refer to music – they refer to it as Quran of Shatan, Satan’s Quran. So when Prophet Mohammad PBUH warned us about it, something which was dangerous for our souls. That’s what Islam is there to do – to protect our souls. So we need to stop and to turn back to Allah and to love him and worship him through our love of him by obeying the messenger of Allah. We need to do that in order for this ummah to succeed. It is the only way. We can chase the dunya – replicate the West their lifestyles. But where does it lead? What is it the end of it all? Wretchedness. We have something which the rest of the world does not have. We need to preserve it. We need to take care of it. We need to live it as a deserves to lived.

Destruction. This means the destruction of evil items, such as breaking and burning idols, breaking musical instruments, smashing wine vessels, burning down taverns in which wine is sold, destroying books of heresy and atheism and promiscuous movies and three-dimensional pictures, and so on.

Among the items for which there is no obligation to pay compensation if they are destroyed are: musical instruments; crosses; vessels for wine; books of misguidance.

The following is an example of what will be destroyed. Some say that it will be for the betterment of Canada and all man kind.

Muslims do not want to take over for the sake of taking over. But to improve the lives of people that is why Islam came. To do that changes will have to be made. So it may seem from one perspective that Islam took over so to speak.

Canadian Imam: Community Pressure Needed to Keep Muslims from Leaving Islam

Canadian Imam: Community Pressure Needed to Keep Muslims from Leaving Islam

Shaikh Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips is  a Canadian Muslim teacher, speaker, author, founder and chancellor of the Islamic Online University, who lives in Qatar.[2] He appears on Peace TV, which is a 24-hour Islamic satellite TV channel.[3][4] He considers himself a Salafi who advocates a traditional, literal form of Islam. Imam Ameenah Philips in Jan 25, 2018 gave a lecture concerning the danger of Muslim children engaging in free thinking devoid of Community and peer pressure. Confused Muslims leaving Islam is on the RISE! | What is the Solution? Below is a partial transcript of Imam Philip’s. Below that is a story of the Shafia family that emigrated from Afghanistan. The story took place in the summer of 2009. It is a story of what can happen to three Muslim daughters who attempt to leave Islam and live as Canadians. Is what happened to these girls one of the methods used to exert community pressure to “keep our young people in line”?

We cannot afford to treat this lightly because the numbers are increasing… I met a number of cases when I was here then. A number of families brought their young children, young adults, to me – with these kinds of ideas, doubts. Most of them were on the way. I did a… couple who had become disbelievers. The majority were just on the way they were facing the doubts they didn’t know how to handle them. I spoke with them… So I advise you as the Prophets MABPWT advised us… Hold on firmly to them [Quran Sunna] you will never go astray….. The book of Allah and my Sunna. This is the advice of the prophet Muhammad PBUH which we need to implement on the highest possible scale here… As I said back home the pressure of community, culture, tradition, is enough to keep our young people in line. But here we are all at risk. Our children, you are here in the masjid no problem. But the young people… You don’t see that many of that group amongst us. The masjids are filled with the older generation 30s, 40s, 50s and the very young who are brought in. But that generation x they’re missing to a large degree. And they are the element that is at the highest risk. From my discussion with the young man a few days ago the thought of holding on firmly to the Quran in the sunna kept reverberating in my mind. This young man though he was engaged in activities – he told me he even read some of my books, and watched my YouTube lectures, enjoyed them etc. But now he was a young adult who had his own mind, to make his own decisions. And his decision was that he was not a Muslim.

Imam; Spilling Blood Acquiring Lands is Not Primary Objective of Jihad

Imam; Spilling Blood Acquiring Lands is Not Primary Objective of Jihad

Canadian Imam Bilal Philips uploaded a lecture in 2017 explaining that a sword can be used to implement the moral message of Islam. Obtaining land and the spilling of blood is not the primary objective of jihad.

Shaykh Bilal Phillips, BA Islamic studies in Medina; MA theology in UK; lecturer of Islamic studies at American university in UAE; founded info center in Dubai in 2002; founder of Islamic department in Preston; launched open university free courses to 100,000 students; director of Preston college, India.

…and this was the Sunnah. Was the translation of the Quran into living practice. So the Sunnah is a living Sunnah, it represents a way of life, fundamentally a moral way of life. This is what Islam is, essentially, it is a moral message. To implement that message it might require weapons, so there is jihad. Jihad has a place. But ultimately the goal of jihad is not the spilling of blood. The goal of jihad is not primarily to take the lands of other people, though it may come as a part of the jihad. People’s lands and their properties may be taken. But that isn’t the goal. That is just the consequence of military struggle. The losers have to be dealt with and they’re dealt with in accordance with principles which Islam has set down.

Imam; Satan Influenced Prophet Mohammad’s Perception not Revelations

Imam; Satan Influenced Prophet Mohammad’s Perception not Revelations

Canadian Imam Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips, who completed a PhD on Islamic exorcism at the University of Edinburgh, gave a lecture on deterring authentic demonic possession and how to attain a credible exorcism. During this talk, the Imam revealed that the Islamic Prophet Mohammad had been successfully freed from a demonic spell cast by a Jewish man in a far away village.

So destroy the charm. That’s what the Prophet PBUH did when he came under the influence, Ginn [spirits] influence of magic which affected him physically. So this is a form of the touch of Shatan, satanic touch, demonic touch, which didn’t affect his Revelation. Revelation which came to him but affects some of his own perception, thinking that he did things which he didn’t do, thinking that he didn’t do things which he had done, seeing things which are far away as if they’re close, things which are close as if they’re far away. This affected him in this way. And Allah sent angels to him and his dream and informed him that it was the work of a particular individual in Medina, a Jewish magician there by the name of Lubaid Ben Al-Aasim, who had prepared this charm and put it in a well and so the Prophet PBUH told Ali Bin Tali to go find it. Dig it up. Come back. Take it apart. And the two last verses of the Quran, two last chapters,  were revealed and they were read for breaking spell.   Video

How can you tell if someone is possessed or if magic was done to them?
How do you remove it?

People who have had experience with such situations have related that the following are among the signs of a person who is possessed by jinn (or Satan).

Strong repulsion when hearing Quraan or Aathaan (call for prayers).

Inability to have sexual intercourse with one’s spouse.

Frequent miscarriage for pregnant women.

Thinking or imagining one has done something when in reality one has not.

As for curing this condition, the following steps are recommended:

Removing the elements of magic, as was done by the Prophet when he was struck by black magic by a Jewish man called Lubaid Ben Al-Aasim.

Eating seven Aaliya Al-Barniy dates (among the dates of Al-Madinah) first thing in the morning; if not possible, any dates will suffice, by the will of Allaah.

Cupping–removing excess blood.
