Distinguishing Between Lawful & Unlawful Sex with Slave Girls in Islam

Distinguishing Between Lawful & Unlawful Sex with Slave Girls in Islam

Welcome to Islam moving forward In Canada. In recent days British Muslim supporters of Palestinian Islamic groups, Hamas & Islamic Jihad, have paraded in Jewish neiborhoods of London UK, publicly & loudly been calling out  >>> “F the Jews, we will rape you daughters”

Do these individuals represent the true message of Islam as conveyed by Prophet Mohammad P&BBUH? – Is rape of non Muslim women Islamicly permissible? I will share the contextualized context that will aid in dispelling misinformation that lead to misunderstanding of the TRUE Islam.

We will also learn about slave girls that are possessed by the Right hand of Muslim men, according to Islamic law

Dr. Ewis El Nagar senior scholar with the Quebec Council of Imams (Conseil des Imams Québec) who in 2011 said

>>>An important question still remains open. Are the [Quranic] verses dealing with ‘right hands possess’, abrogated or not? And is this ruling still applicable or not? And the answer is that [the Quranic verses dealing with ‘right hands possess’] are not abrogated and the ruling [‘right hands possess’] is applicable once the reason for it exists. Jihad returned, wars returned, then the ruling [‘right hands possess’] is not abrogated”>>>

Who are the women that are possessed by the right hand of Muslim men according to Islamic law?

For this answer we turn to the book modern commentary of the Quran explains  <<<“slaves or war captives who had polytheist husbands” >>>

In 2014 the practice of owning slave girls was again established in the Islamic State and parts of Africa. According to scholars, during the jihad, men are killed, the women are captured. Hence they become war booty. For the slave girl to become lawfully permissible in order to avoid the sin of adultery, the man holds his right hand over the women’s head. This is also done when transferring ownership of a slave girl.

Returning to Toronto Ontario we next learn from Imam & scholar Shabbir who was interviewed on Let the Quran Speak Sep 4th 2020

Hostess Aisha Khaja asked:

It seems to be a fact that in the Islamic classical law one can own a female slave. Can you talk to me about that?

Imam Shabbir Ally’s response

Quran has left it open people can own slaves. Slave girls were to be married off rather than simply taken by the owner against her will… In the aHadith and in classical Islamic tradition it is widely recognized that the slave owner would have the right to have sex with the girls his right hand posses through the booty of war.

We finish this segment with Islam Q&A a leading authoritative resource on Islam

So enjoy what you have gotten of booty in war, lawful and good”  And the Prophet PBBUH used to do this in his wars and his jihaad against the kuffaar, when he confiscated their property, wealth & women.

In conclusion

Islamic law teaches us that when Muslim men have obtained females sex slaves through lawful means such as war booty or transfer of ownership, sex is lawful & the female is obliged to comply regardless of her personal feeling. However sex with slave girls outside of the mentioned lawful parameters of Islamic law is considered Un-lawful

Marital Rape intersecting with Islamic Values & Teaching of Muslim Scholars

Marital Rape intersecting with Islamic Values & Teaching of Muslim Scholars

In 2017 Canadian Common Law Intersected with Multiculturalism to Juxtapose the Ideal of Diversity that Transitioned to Fight Islamophobia.

“I find that the accused probably had sex with his wife on many occasions without her specific consent, as both he and she believed that he had the right to do so,” Ontario Superior Court Justice Robert Smith said. Although she did not always consent, the couple both believed it was the husband’s right, the Ottawa Citizen reported.

The female has a special and honoured role within Islam that is codified in Islamic doctrine. Before it can be applied Islamic doctrine must be interpreted.

What do senior Muslim leaders in Canada teach about consent of a wife before husband can commence with the act of copulation? Below are six examples. To learn more

Imam Shabbir Ally: There is no ‘consent’ in Islamic marriages. Citing the teachings in Islam, Shabir Ally said, “The woman’s main responsibility in a marriage is to fulfil the sexual needs of her husband. And for that reason the husband has the right and claim to this (referring to sexual intercourse). And she cannot refuse.

Imam Musleh Khan: “She should not withhold sex from her husband without a valid excuse. If she refuses without a valid reason, then she has committed a major sin. This is unanimous among scholars of Islam…Especially for a man, the way Allah created him. Many, many times he may need his wife there more than she might need him. This is just the nature of men. This is just a nature that Allah created us with. So, Sisters, it’s part of your act of worship towards Allah.”

Imam Abdi Hersy: “If she just refuses because she is angry at you, it is not something that she can punish you with avoiding sex. This is something that she granted and agreed upon when she was signing the marriage contract.”

Women in Islamic Shariah P.17: “Everything in this world is a piece of property or a possession. The best possession in the world is a pious woman.”

The Fragile Vessel P 78: “It is, therefore, a great obligation upon the wife to always be available for the consummation of her husband’s desire. It is a major sin for her to deny her husband the intimate pleasure that he seeks with her. Refusing to do that is a major sin that deserves the Angels’ curse and Allah’s wrath.”

Imam Abu Bilal Philips: “According to Sharia, there is no such thing as marital rape when a couple are married. There are specific specified rights. Among rights of a male is when he demands sexual relations, she must comply.”

Toronto Imam “Sex Slavery” Recognized in the Islamic Tradition

Toronto Imam “Sex Slavery” Recognized in the Islamic Tradition

Sep 4th 2020 Shabbir Ally Imam, scholar & president of, The International Toronto Dawah Center was interviewed on Let the Quran Speak an online You Tube channel. This channel began in 2001 and states as it’s mission “Let the Quran Speak subverts those misconceptions and reveals the truth about Islam and Muslims.” Bellow is an excerpt of this interview.

Aisha Khaja: Dr. Shabbir welcome to let to the Quran speak. Now we have spoken about slavery before. I want us to revisit that topic because I feel like, and I think we both felt that way, that we hadn’t completed talking about it. I there was some unfinished questions that we need to answer. One of those is about agency and ownership and the fact that in the Islamic classical law it seems like one can own a slave. Can you talk to me about that?

Shabbir Ally: Yes and this is rooted in the Quran itself. We should also acknowledge that the Quran left the matter somewhat open. In that one can still argue in a very traditional way today that since the Quran has left it open as a possibility people can own slaves. Well who are we to cancel it all together. We human beings have no say in what God has allowed…

Aisha Khaja: I’m going to ask you a hard question. Let’s talk about concubines. Because Daesh or otherwise known as ISIS or Islamic State comes and says well, you know, capturing concubines in time of war is acceptable. It’s allowed in Islam. It’s even a moral good. So how would you respond to that?

Shabbir Ally: The one problem that remains to be discussed squarely is the problem of concubinage. Where in classical Islamic law it was recognized that if a man owned a female slave he had the automatic right to have intimacy with her… There’s nothing in the Quranic texts properly interpreted which would necessitate that this has to be done, or even, that it was actually done. So we couldn’t prove from the Quran itself that one would have this automatic right. When the female slaves are spoken about in the Quran for example, in sura 4 verse # 24 it is apparent that this slave women were to be married off rather than just simply taken by the owner against her will and treated as his concubine. Of course in the Hadith and in classical Islamic tradition it is widely recognized that the slave owner would have this right.

Let the Quran Speak “continues to grow and redefine itself to fulfill its mandate of advancing the public discourse about Islam and Muslims in Canada.

Islam Q&A is an academic, educational, da‘wah website which aims to offer advice and academic answers based on evidence from religious texts in an adequate and easy-to-understand manner. These answers are supervised by Shaykh Muhammad Saalih al-Munajjid

by al-Bukhaari (2542)  And we captured some prisoners from among the Arabs. We desired women and the period of abstention was hard for us, and we wanted to engage in ‘azl (coitus interruptus). We asked the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and he said, “There is no point in doing that, for there is no soul which Allaah has decreed should exist until the Day of Resurrection but it will come into existence.”

Allaah has permitted intimacy with a slave woman if the man owns her.

Once this is understood, it should be noted that what is suggested in the question, that this was zina, never occurred to the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them). What they were asking about was the ruling on practicing ‘azl with the slave women whom they had acquired in the course of jihad.

Canadian Imam explains Islamic ruling on oral sex

Canadian Imam explains Islamic ruling on oral sex

Shaykh Yūsuf Badāt, Toronto based scholar, teacher and Imam and a member of the Canadian Council of Imams, says oral sex is prohibited in Islam if sexual fluids entered into the mouth and or swallowed.

Answering the question “Is oral sex allowed in Islam? Can a woman or man kiss or suck each other’s private parts?” Shaykh Yūsuf Badāt wrote:

Jazāk Allāh Khayr/ Thank you for your question.

Oral sex refers to sexual contact between the mouth and the genitals or anus.

If oral sex (performed by a husband and wife) entails sexual fluids, discharge and impurities to be released, entered into the mouth and or swallowed (which is more than likely to occur), then it is prohibited and impermissible. This is the ruling that all mainstream Islamic jurists agree to, even in the case where one is unsure, however there is a likelihood of such fluids to be entered in to the mouth.

Islam is a religion that demands purity and cleanliness in all aspects of life.

If one engages in oral sex in such a way wherein there is no sexual fluids and impurities on the tongue or in the mouth, then it would be considered mukrūh (disliked). (See Fātāwā al Hindīyyah)

And Allāh Knows Best

Another fatwa (Islamic ruling) on islamweb.net provides more background information about the position of Islam on oral sex:

As for what you mentioned, i.e. sucking, licking or oral sex, there is no clear evidence from the Quran or the Sunnah concerning them. The scholars differed on this matter. Some believe that it is forbidden, others believe that it is lawful. However, Allah Says (what means): {Your wives are a place of cultivation [i.e. sowing of seed] for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish.} [Quran 2:222]. This means in any manner that suits you both but in the place of the cultivation which is the vagina. It does not mean anywhere and anyhow. There is a trace from the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) and his companions that backs up this view. One should be cautious not to swallow some dirtiness, as the man might ejaculate in his wife’s mouth. Allah Says (what means): {Truly Allah loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and those who purify themselves.} [Quran 2:222]. This means those who keep themselves above the dirty and the filthy things, which are the cause of forbidding the menstruation period and any part which is not the vagina. This kind of pleasure is far from the natural dispositions that Allah has created us with. Moreover, a tongue that supplicates Allah and recites the Quran should not get in touch with those parts of the body which are a source of some impurity. Indeed what Allah has made lawful for us is enough for any normal person.

Toronto Mayor Tory calls to ban feminist Meghan Murphy after welcoming anti LGBT Imam

Toronto Mayor Tory calls to ban feminist Meghan Murphy after welcoming anti LGBT Imam

Toronto Mayor, John Tory, supports banning Vancouver-based feminist journalist Meghan Murphy from speaking at the Toronto Public Library because of her views on transgenders.

Murphy was invited by Toronto-based group Radical Feminists Unite to speak on an October 29 panel at the Toronto Public Library – Palmerston Branch called “Gender Identity: What Does It Mean For Society, The Law And Women?”

Founder of Feminist Current, a blog and podcast, Murphy hase criticized third-wave feminism, male feminists, the sex industry, exploitation of women in mass media, trigger warnings, and transgender legislation.

In May 2017, she appeared before the Canadian Senate to oppose Bill C-16, which encoded gender identity and gender expression into Canadian law. She told the Senate: “Treating gender as though it is either internal or a personal choice is dangerous and completely misunderstands how and why women are oppressed under patriarchy as a class of people … The rights of women and girls are being pushed aside to accommodate a trend.”

Describing her views as “offensive”, Mayor Tory said that Meghan Murphy should not be given a platform in any premises of the City of Toronto. The Toronto Star reported,

“Mayor John Tory meanwhile, a former leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, has voiced his disappointment with the library’s position, saying officials should use the “highest of standards” to ensure that public buildings not become a place where “offensive commentary” is permitted.”

John Tory’s position in Meghan Murphy’s case stands in stark contradiction to his stance regarding Wael Shehab, the head Imam of Toronto Masjid Mosque who is known for his anti LGBT statements.

Tory stated he visited Wael Shehab’s mosque “many times” and on May 7, 2019 he hosted an Iftar dinner (breaking the fast of Ramadan) in the Council Chambers with the attendance of Imam Wael Shehab.

Imam Wael Shehab wrote,

Homosexuality is a sinful act in Islamwe should not associate with them and should not take them as friendsIn Islam, changing one’s sex is not permissible if the person (male or female) has ‎complete male or female sex organs… Given the above, it’s my advice for him to return back to his original sex and go through professional counseling and treatment to lead normal happy life.”

On 10 May 2012 Wael Shihab issued an Islamic ruling (fatwa) titled “Same-Sex Marriage and Objectives of Shari`ah”. Shihab’s Islamic ruling reads in part:

“Like all the world’s major religions and traditions, Islam has a clear stand on this issue, as it emphatically forbids homosexuality and lesbianism and regards them as a violation of the commands of Allah. It states clearly that same-sex marriage poses a serious and dangerous threat to human societies and communities… So it’s clear that the Islamic concept of marriage is totally different from “gay or lesbian” styles of marital relationshipsSame-sex marriage endangers true faithful family atmosphere where children should be soundly and morally raised. Gay and lesbian marital relationships lack social acceptance and impose serious dangers to the family institution. Same-sex marriage, moreover, threatens the existence of human species. Such relationships could not build human communities or secure the existence of humans… same-sex marriage imposes serious social dangers that destroy the basic foundations of families, societies, and human communitiesSame-sex marriage, on the other hand, imposes serious dangers to the family institution, lacks social support, endangers the real lovely family life, and breaks the social order of the human community.”
