Here’s the important piece (……) He will accept no more what is known to be the tax. What is the tax? If you have a Christian or a Jew living in the boundaries of a Muslim country you have no right whatsoever, look at the tolerance of Islam, to force them to leave the religion. That’s where you understand …… No compulsion for those. You can’t. In fact you’re obliged to protect their shrines their houses of worship, you are to protect them. In fact if you’re attacked by another force from outside you go fight in protection of this man. and he stays at home. Save your life, save your wealth, in return we will defend you. Tolerance! In return you pay a tax. Prophet Jesus will no longer accept the Jizya, that tax. That means it is an indication no other religion then Islam. Sharia of Mohammad

Muslim Prayer About Jews & Christians Contextualized by Senior Imams

Muslim Prayer About Jews & Christians Contextualized by Senior Imams

Not many non-Muslims understand the importance of the five daily prayers. Four senior Imams will contextualize the prayer in an effort to Dispel misinformation. The following is narrated by Eric Brazau.

Hello & welcome to another segment of “Islam Moving forward in Canada. We will learn about the prayer that is repeated 17 times a day within the 5 daily prayers.

We begin with Senior Imam Karim Abu Zaid who asked in a lecture >>“Why is this sura called the mother of the Quran … It was called mother of the Quran because all the meanings of the Quran are compiled in those seven verses the rest of the Quran came after to detail and explain it.”

The following is the translation of Surah (chapter) al-Fatihah as provided by Omar Subedar, Imam at Brampton, ON Makki Masjid,

[In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful]

All praise is for Allah, the Sustainer of every creation

The Most Merciful and the Ever Merciful

Master of the Day of Compensation

It is only You who we worship and only You Who we seek assistance from

Guide us to the straight path

The path of those you bestowed favours upon, not those who have incurred [Your] wrath and those who have deviated” >>>

Continuing our contextualized understand we look to the book Commentary on The Holy Quran” by Mirzā Ghulām Ahmad,  leader and the founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement: >>>

“All commentators are agreed that those who incurred Divine wrath and those who went astray are the Jews and Christians respectively … Those who incurred Divine displeasure are the Jews and those who went astray are the Christians.”>>>

Further elucidation comes from Edmonton Alberta Sahaba Mosque, guest speaker Imam Osman Haji Madad >>>

“Who are those who earned the wrath of Allah?… They are the Jews… Those who were cursed by Allah. Allah was angry at them and turned them into monkeys and pigs.” End Quote. Some text use the word Apes rather than `monkeys

This episode of “Islam Moving Forward in Canada” again demonstrates the importance of learning the context surrounding these sensitive issues. I recommend that you visiting your local mosque to obtain further clarification. Clarification will help you to help others dispel misinformation.

Thanks for watching – Islam Moving Forward in Canada. –  Till next time. Good bye.

Colorado Imam: Vengeance & killing when weak is detrimental to the Mission

Colorado Imam Karim AbuZaid is inspiring his community with a lecture that was Streamed live on Jan 29, 2021 Below is a partial transcript.

Now when you go through as a believer, as a follower, of a mission and by the way this could apply to your individual life, by the way, doesn’t have to be on the community level. It can be on an individual level. Sometimes we face that. Some people are getting on us – giving us a hard time. They tell you when you go through what I described you end up developing three psychologies, three moods, three trends which are very destructive to the cause. It will affect you. Number one, giving up. Don’t give up. That’s the title I choose for this lecture don’t give up. Number two, giving in. Okay, I’m with you now I can’t handle the pressure. So, I’m with you. Here is the third one which you need to pay attention too. Being vengeful… I’ve got to get these guys. They are bad. Actually this is wrong too. When you’re weak you shouldn’t do it. A lot of people don’t understand what Musa said to the Israeli when he kept killing an Egyptian every day. What’s wrong with you? We are weak. Can’t you pay attention here? Musa said that to him. And when he said that to him he thought he was going to kill him too. During the time (of weakness) How are we supposed to be? (Gestures – Bows head in humility) May Allah forgive you brother.

Colorado Imam Grants Permission to dry limbs with a towel citing Islamic doctoral evidence

Colorado Imam Grants Permission to dry limbs with a towel citing Islamic doctoral evidence

Senior Colorado Imam Karim AbuZaid, during a call in show, gives clear clarification regarding the permissibility of using a towel after symbolic ritual of washing before prayer. It was uploaded to the Imam’s YouTube channel on April 6 2021.

Question: Is it okay to dry your face arms after making wudu? (Symbolic washing)

Answer: It is permissible. What is the base for that? Is you know…. When the Prophet PBUH at one time he made wudu and she was standing there holding a towel, a piece of cloth, in order to dry his hands after wudu. You see look how Bukhari understood this hadith. Do you know what Bukari said? This is an evidence that you could dry your body parts after wudu. Why? If it was not permissible then his wife would not have strood up with a towel. You’re getting that? Even though the Prophet said NO I am not going to dry my limbs. You see this is how you look at the evidence.

Question

Is it permissible to dry oneself with a towel or handkerchief after doing wudoo’?.

Answer

Praise be to Allah.

It is permissible, after doing wudoo’, to dry the parts of the body washed in wudoo’, because the basic principle is that this action is permissible.

Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Mughni (1/195): There is nothing wrong with drying the limbs with a towel after getting them wet during ghusl and wudoo’. This is what was narrated from Imam Ahmad. It was also narrated that ‘Uthmaan, al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali, Anas and many other scholars used a towel after doing wudoo’, and this is the more correct opinion, because the basic principle is that it is permissible. End quote.

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about the ruling on drying the parts of the body that are washed in wudoo’

Colorado Imam Karim AbuZaid: LGBTQ’s “Evil” is Influencing & infiltrating Black Lives Matter & Muslim Community

Imam Karim Abuzaid is the imam of Colorado Muslim Society (CMS). He is a PhD candidate in Islamic Studies with the American Open University of Alexandria, VA. His studies are concentrated in Fundamentals of Islam and Quranic and Hadith Sciences. Imam Karim is a Hafiz Al-Qur’an, having committed the complete text of the Qur’an to memory. Below is a partial transcript of a lecture that Premiered September 18, 2020

The scheming. They are not going to come to you straight forward. And that is the approach of evil always. Like Satan said to Adam ‘just see the tree. Do not eat from the tree is is forbidden. We are dealing with that scheming here. I read in some history how the the ABGT Groups in America managed to be accepted in our community in a 20 year’s time… We cannot inflict any harm upon them whatsoever. We cannot do that. That is a disclaimer before I even speak. That we are not inciting hate towards that particular group. No! I am trying to protect my children... Number one, brothers and sisters in Islam, the source of what is right, what is wrong is Allah. Not voting, not democracy, Allah tells me that intercourse has to be done within wedlock, in marriage between a man and a woman, that’s it… He is trying to tell you that the source of character, morality, the source of what is right and what is wrong, what is accepted and what is not accepted is Islam, is AllahAssured us, asserted us that he created us male and female. There is no third. There is no other. I had an interview with a 25-year experienced teacher in the public school system, not a Muslim. I am not belittling her– she can choose whatever religion she wants. Not a Muslim. The amount of strategizing, the amount of scheming to confuse your children in the public school system about their gender. Here is the interesting piece – they associate this with Black Lives Matter. We know that there is some issue with treating the African American community in America. We have seen George Floyd. …. If your guy is going to push your agenda lets include that agenda too. So, part of the Black Lives Matter curriculum to spread good treatment of African American community is this – is to include the LGBT groups. If you are going to push this one, we have to be there because we are oppressed too… Emphasize the gender to you boys. Come on, man – you are a boy, man! What colour is this you are wearing? pink?…. Sports. Basketball is a good thing…. That is a good training, basketball, swimming, archery, horseback-riding. Do not teach them golfing. Teach them something that fits. Girls, teach them sewing. You’ve got to keep them busy

Question

What is the punishment for homosexuality? Is there any differentiation between the one who does it and the one to whom it is done?

al-Tirmidhi (1456), Abu Dawood (4462) and Ibn Maajah (2561) narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas  said: The Messenger of Allaah  said: “Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot, execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.”. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.

The Sahaabah were unanimously agreed on the execution of homosexuals, but they differed as to how they were to be executed. Some of them were of the view that they should be burned with fire, which was the view of ‘Ali and also of Abu Bakr, as we shall see below. And some of them thought that they should be thrown down from a high place then have stones thrown at them. This was the view of Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him).

The scholars differed as to whether it is to be punished more severely than zina, or whether the punishment for zina should be more severe, or whether the punishments should be the same. There are three points of view:

Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq, ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib, Khaalid ibn al-Waleed, ‘Abd-Allaah ibn al-Zubayr, ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Abbaas, Maalik, Ishaaq ibn Raahawayh, Imam Ahmad according to the more sound of the two reports from him and al-Shaafa’i according to one of his opinions, were of the view that the punishment for homosexuality should be more severe than the punishment for zina, and the punishment is execution in all cases, whether the person is married or not.
