On December 16, 2019 I sent a media inquiry to the Canadian Anti-Hate Network regarding the upcoming participation of its board member in a panel alongside an American imam known of his anti-LGBTQ, anti-Jewish and anti-Christian statements. As of December 17, 2019 the Canadian Anti-Hate Network declined to respond to the media inquiry.

Bernie Farber, Chair, Canadian Anti-Hate Network email@example.com
Amira Elghawaby, a Board Member of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network, is about to participate in a panel with an American Imam and scholar, Ysair Qadhi, who appears to hold anti-Jewish, anti-Christian and anti-LGBTQ views based on authentic Islamic sources.
The panel “From the Pulpit to the Picketline: Bridging the Scholar-Activist Divide” will be held on December 21, 2019 under the umbrella of the Reviving of the Islamic Spirit conference in Toronto. More details https://risconvention.com/program/
Ysair Qadhi implied that the Jews are “evil people despised by the creation,” called Jews and Christians “filthy” and “impure” and described the LGBTQ behavior as “unethical”, “immoral” and “harmful to body and soul.”
What is the policy of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network regarding the participation of its board members and employees in panels with people who hold anti-Jewish, anti-Christian and anti-LGBTQ views?
Was the participation of Amira Elghawaby in the aforementioned panel alongside Ysair Qadhi approved by the Canadian Anti-Hate Network?
Please respond by 5pm December 16, 2019. If more time is required please advise.
