Muslim reformers advocate for an Islam that accepts Western values. These values are democracy, gay rights, and freedom of expression.
What can you do?
Visit a local mosque and engage in interfaith dialogue. Share the perspective of Muslim reformers with your circle of friends. Many believe Muslim reform must be organic. From the bottom up.
Support the work of Muslim reformers Zudhi Jasser and Irshad Manji. Do not give into despair over misunderstanding Muslim terrorist attacks.
Remember the right wing promote Islamophobia. They use Muslim terror attacks to sow fear of Islam that becomes Islamophobia.
