The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) partners with the United Way Greater Toronto “to raise funding for anti-poverty initiatives to fight homelessness, social isolation, and hunger.” On Friday September 20, 2019 both organizations held an “open community event” at Nathan Philips Square. The fundraising event included a Muslim Friday prayer at Toronto City Hall’s plaza.
